The Lions will be looking to end their poor form in the league, as they welcome Morpeth Town in a 12:30pm kick-off at Nethermoor Park on Saturday writes Harry Ware.

Food and drink from The Lions’ Diner and clubhouse food servery can be paid for by cash or card and the clubhouse accepts and prefers payment by card.
Tickets are priced at £12 adults, £8 concessions/students/registered disabled, U18’s £5 and accompanied U11’s £1.

In the reverse fixture, the Lions came out victorious in a 3-1 win over Saturday’s visitors.
After going a goal down, strikes from Adam Haw, Charlie Wood and Jake Cassidy completed a brilliant comeback in Northumberland.
Dale Pearson scored Morpeth’s goal on that day, and will be looking to do the same against the Lions on Saturday.

The Lions have struggled for form recently, losing their last four league games, having not picked up three points since mid-October in that brilliant victory over FC United of Manchester.

Former FA Vase winners, Morpeth have also lost their last four games, setting up an exciting encounter between two sides who are desperate for a result.

Food Bank and Christmas Hamper Collection
Guiseley Community Foundation’s Food Bank and Christmas Hamper Collection takes place on Saturday.
It is the ninth successive year the charity have supported the most vulnerable in the local community with a collection.
Donations are being accepted in the clubhouse car park from 10am until 12:30pm.
The required items include:
Breakfast cereals, tinned meat/fish and pies, jars of meat/fish paste, tinned vegetables, instant mash, tinned potatoes, stuffing mixes, gravy granules, tinned/packet/cup a soup, pasta, rice, tinned/dried beans/pulses, pasta/cooking sauces, flour, bread mixes, dumpling/Yorkshire pudding batter mixes, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, UHT milk, long life fruit juice/cordial, jam, marmalade, honey, peanut butter and chocolate spread and any other food items.
Toiletries required include toilet rolls, cleaning products and feminine hygiene products
Cat and dog food is also required to support vulnerable families.
Festive items that are require to help with the creation of Christmas Hampers include Christmas pudding, tinned sponge puddings/long life cakes, custard, rice pudding, jelly, instant whip, brandy sauce, evaporated milk, tinned fruit, savoury/sweet biscuits, dried fruit/nuts, crisps/other savoury snacks, chocolate, sweets and selection boxes.
