We are delighted to announce that Elliot Owen is under contract for the 2026/27 campaign.

Elliot arrived at Nethermoor in December 2025 for an undisclosed fee from Stocksbridge Park Steels.

The central defender has made 15 appearances since his signature and netted four goals, including two at the home of his former club on New Year’s Day.

The 21 year-old, who made his Lions debut at Hebburn Town a day after his signing, was born in Harrogate was named in the NPL East Team of the Season for 2024-25 along with current Guiseley forward Amir Berchil and former Guiseley Academy goalkeeper Declan Lambton.

Owen was brought up in Harrogate and played as a junior with Pannal Sports before becoming a scholar in the York City Academy.

He signed a professional contract with York in July 2022 but was released in 2023 and joined Pontefract Collieries.

The 6ft 3ins tall central defender showed such form that he gained attention from Ian Richards and joined him at Stocksbridge Park Steels.
