To coincide with the World Cup the Community Foundation ran a joint pilot project with AVSED to gauge the interest in Walking Football sessions amongst their Members.

Around 20 people attended the session with around 10 actively taking part, the rest supported from the sidelines.

The session on the 3G lasted an hour followed by tea, biscuits and a chat. The event was successful and provided everyone with a chance to try out a new activity and socialise.

There was also interest and participation from some of the Nethermoor Wednesday Gang and AVSED Volunteers.
