Just three days after defeating National League outfit Sutton United to reach the second round of the Emirates FA Cup, it’s business as usual for Guiseley, who travel away to Warrington Rylands on Tuesday, writes James Harrop.
The Lions’ last-gasp victory over Sutton was only the third time they had reached the second round in the club’s 117-year history, and the first whilst competing in the Northern Premier League.
Manager Ian Richards will now have to re-focus his side as they look to push for promotion to the National League North. Guiseley currently sit four points behind league leaders Cleethorpes Town with a game in hand, and have won four of their last five matches.

What They’re Saying
Ivor Timmis caught up with Ian Richards following Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup victory.
Team News
Harrison Hopper made his return to the side against Sutton United on Saturday after recovering from illness, playing the full 90 minutes.
Midfielder Adam Lund was also named on the bench on Saturday, but was not used as he looks to return to full fitness.
Both Aaron Martin and Jay Rollins were not involved in the FA Cup matchday squad due to injury.
With such a small gap between the hard-fought Sutton United game and Tuesday’s trip to Warrington, the Lions will likely have to rotate their side.

The Opposition
Warrington Rylands have won their last three Northern Premier League games and currently sit seventh in the league table.
Manager Neil Reynolds has turned the Blues into one of the league’s strongest sides, and they narrowly missed out on promotion to the National League North last season, losing to Hednesford via a penalty shootout in the play-off final.
It’s back-to-back home games for the Cheshire side, who defeated 5th-placed Gainsborough 3-1 on Saturday.

Previous Meetings
The Lions have already faced Warrington Rylands this season, winning 3-1 away from home in the FA Trophy on 24th October.
In the Northern Premier League, the sides last met back in January, where the Blues came away with a 1-0 victory courtesy of an early Harrison Wood goal.
