Guiseley Vixens wrapped up the FAWPL Division One North at the first time of asking after beating Blackpool Wren Rovers 3-2.
Two goals from Sarah Danby and one from Alarna Fuller secured the three points and promotion for the Vixens.
The first real chance of the half fell to Hannah Hale. Her sweetly struck volley on the edge of the box was tipped over the bar by the Blackpool ‘keeper.
The home side took an early lead when the league’s top scorer, Nikki Berko, capitalised on a defensive error before chipping goalkeeper Beth Seasman.
Guiseley responded quickly, scoring from a set piece. Danby’s corner was whipped in and Fuller met it, directing it past the ‘keeper and defenders on the line.
Just before half-time another corner saw another goal.
Again Danby delivered, this time the cross evading everyone and going straight into the back of the net.
The hosts levelled things up just after the hour mark with Berko scoring again. She manouvered herself around the defender and ‘keeper before putting the ball into an empty net.
Emily Scott almost restored the lead for Guiseley minutes later. Her long range curling effort was tipped on to the post and the rebound from Debs Hastings went narrowly wide.
The lead was restored by Danby on the 80th minute. A replica of her first goal saw the ball evade everyone and sealed the three points.
Guiseley Vixens will now play in the FA Women’s Premier League next season.
