Guiseley played out a nil-nil draw in their last League game away from home against a Blyth Spartans side that was pushing for a place in the play-offs up to a couple of weeks ago.
The Lions made a good start and when Gavin Rothery it the bar Simon Baldry couldn’t net the rebound. James Walshaw had an effort saved and then couldn’t convert from a tight angle having rounded the keeper .
Defenders Danny Ellis and Simon Ainge both had chances before the home side breached the offside trap and with Drench beaten the ball came back off the bar. Drench came to Guiseley’s rescue several times in the second half and Baldry puta header wide just before the end as the game ended all square.
