With the Costcutter store at White Cross reverting back to a Co-op Food Store those Guiseley supporters who are Co-op members now have a local opportunity to help the Community Foundation to get a tranche of funding from the Co-op Community Fund before the funding period concludes in October 2018.
Defenders Darren Holden and Ben Frempah and Community Foundation Apprentice Connor Thompson were on hand to open the new store last week.
All Co-op Members have to do is is now nominate the Community Foundation as their preferred cause, as every time members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Community Fund.
The Community Foundation would like to use any funds we receive to extend the offer of Walking Football to encourage fitness, improve health and encourage social interaction in the over 50’s.
For the more competitive there would be opportunity for participants to become involved in a League competition or compete in Tournaments.
If you shop at the Co-op and you are not a Member please consider joining at www.coop.co.uk/membership and then nominating Guiseley Community Foundation as your cause of choice.
