Scott signed for The Lions on 29th January 2022 and made his debut that afternoon at Southport, he struck his first goal too to equalise.
The Scottish forward has spent the majority of his career in his homeland with spells at Kilmarnock, Troon, Albion Rovers, Queen’s Park, Annan Athletic and Darvel before his move to the North East.
He joined The Moors in September 2020 and linked up with midfielder Jamie Spencer in his time with the Brewery Field based side, he made over 40 appearances for them and has netted three goals this season with 10 assists.
McLean made his Kilmarnock debut in a 2-2 draw with Celtic in 2015 and struck seven goals in 31 appearances with Queen’s Park.
On 13th May 2022 it was confirmed that Scott McLean had returned to his parent club Spennymoor Town at the end of his loan move following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.
The midfielder made four appearances netting on his debut at Southport but his playing time was limited due to a season ending injury.
