Luke joined the club on 26th January 2024 on loan from Blackpool until the end of the season, the central midfielder made his debut a day later against former club Macclesfield and got off to a great start with a stunning goal.

Mariette was a key player in the heart of Bamber Bridge’s midfield during the 2022/23 season making 16 appearances after sealing a loan deal with the Lancashire side for the second half of the campaign.

In that time Luke made 13 starts, including completing the play off final defeat to Warrington Town, before going on to have loan spells with Southport and Macclesfield this season.

Luke has worked his way through Blackpool’s youth setup before signing a professional contract with the Seasiders in the summer of 2021 and went on to make his professional debut as a second half substitute against Peterborough United on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign.

The central midfielder has been included in several first-team matchday squads for the Tangerines, he has also represented Wales at youth-team level and had a loan spell with Curzon Ashton a couple of years ago.

On 29th May 2024 it was announced that Luke Mariette had returned to parent club Blackpool following the end of his loan deal, he made 13 Lions appearances hitting one goal in the 2023/24 campaign.
