On loan from Barnsley

Kareem joined The Lions on 27th January 2023 on an initial one month loan from Barnsley.

The right back has been with the Tykes since 2017 and has progressed through their academy before signing a professional contract in June 2021.

Kareem is an energetic full back and played a part in Barnsley’s first team during the pre-season fixtures ahead of the current campaign.

The right back also had a spell in Huddersfield Town’s youth set up before moving to South Yorkshire.

On 24th February 2023 it was confirmed that Kareem had returned to his parent club Barnsley after making one Lions appearance, the defender unfortunately picked up an injury after his debut.
