The Lions play their third home game of the season and are hoping for a third win in a row this Tuesday. Ian Richards’ side host Stockton Town who are looking to build on their 2-0 victory against Alfreton Town following a poor start to the campaign, writes Leo Goy(opens in new tab).

Food and drink from The Lions’ Diner can be paid for by cash or card and the clubhouse accepts and prefers payment by card.

Team News

The Lions saw Kyle White and new signing Kallan Murphy both feature in the starting XI away at Curzon Ashton. Furthermore, Jordan Thewlis came on in the 63rd minute and managed to pick up more minutes.

Additionally, Jack Emmett was named on the bench for the first time this season. However, Frankie Sinfield and Will Longbottom are yet to play a minute so far this season.

The Opposition

Stockton Town are looking to go a step further this season following finishing 5th on 63 points in the Northern Premier League Premier Division last campaign.

Throughout this season so far, Stockton Town have only managed to earn four points, with the side narrowly losing 1-0 away at Ilkeston Town, losing 1-0 at home against Ashton United, drawing 1-1 at home against Leek Town, losing 4-1 away at Gainsborough and winning 2-0 at home against Alfreton Town.

They are managed by former player Michael Dunwell, who has been in charge of the club since the summer of 2014 and has led them to multiple promotions along the way.

Additionally, players to look out for are forwards Josh Scott, who has scored three crucial goals and Stephen Thompson, who has also been on the scoresheet so far this season.

Previous Meetings

The last time these sides met at Nethermoor was on the 24th January in a 1-1 draw where Joao Silva scored for the Lions and Amar Purewal scored for Town. Following this, a 2-0 defeat in September 2025 and a 1-0 defeat in April 2025 have occurred in Stockton, with Kevin Hayes and Josh Scott scoring in the first outing and Hayes scoring yet again in the second outing.

Additionally, when the sides met in December 2024 at Nethermoor, both sides drew 1-1, and within the reverse fixture in August 2024, Stockton picked up a 3-1 victory.
