On 25th July 2022 it was announced that Wales U-19 international Ethen Vaughan had joined Danny Ellis’ squad after an spell on trial.

The right back started his football career as a youngster at Huddersfield Town. He then joined Norwich City and played for their Under-18s and 23s. He left The Canaries to join Burnley in January 2022 and then had a short spell on loan at Farsley at the back end of the 2021/22 season.

His brother Rohan is a scholar at Burnley. Vaughan qualified to play for Wales U-19s through his grandfather.

On signing his contract Ethen said “I had trials at Buxton, Halifax, Dunfermline and Altrincham before I trialled at Guiseley this pre-season but I enjoyed it at Guiseley. The players and staff really made me feel welcome.”

He added: “This is a great opportunity that has been given to me and I can see that there is a future for the club and that they are ready to bounce back to National League North. I want to be a part of that.”

On 11th November 2022 it was confirmed that Ethen Vaughan had left the club and joined Marske United for an undisclosed fee after making 13 appearances.
