Michael Afuye Signs On Loan

We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Michael Afuye from Rochdale until the end of the campaign.

The winger has made a temporary move from Spotland to Nethermoor and will be available for selection by Andy Welsh for tomorrow’s clash with Bamber Bridge at Nethermoor.

Afuye signed for Dale at the beginning of the season after spending the two previous campaigns at Avro.

During his second season with Avro he made 34 league appearances and struck 12 goals producing many dazzling displays after only making his senior debut a year earlier.

He then trained with Rochdale’s squad before featuring as a trialist in friendlies at Chorley and Tranmere Rovers where he earned a one year contract with the National League side after impressing.

Afuye has made eight league appearances for Rochdale so far this season and the Spotland based side saw off strong competition from EFL clubs in the North West to secure his signature.

He is described as an exciting prospect who plays exciting football using skill to score various types of goals.

The new loanee was born in Ireland before moving to the North West aged 12 and helped Avro to back to back promotions and was their top scorer last season.

Welcome to Guiseley Michael!

Michael’s home, away and training kits are all available to sponsor.
