We are delighted to announce that John Lufudu has signed a new contract with the club for the 2025/26 campaign.

The exciting winger made 45 appearances and scored six times on his second spell at Nethermoor.

Lufudu first joined the club on a dual registration deal from Ashton United during the 2020/21 season, after leaving South Shields in the summer last year he opted to move back to LS20.

John scored on both the opening day and final day of the regular league season against Workington and FC United of Manchester respectively.

He went on to win the Sponsors’ Player of the Season, alongside Will Longbottom, at the End of Season Dinner last month.

John was also named on the bench in the Pitching In NPL Premier Division Team of the Season.

The 30 year-old’s career started at Sheffield FC, he went on to play for Carlton Town, Emley, Tadcaster, Ashton United, Spennymoor and South Shields.
