Lions at Trophy holders Barrow in 1st Round

The Lions have been handed another away tie in the First Round of the FA Trophy and will visit Blue Square Premier and current FA Trophy holders Barrow on Saturday 11 December 2010 for a 3pm kick off.

Barrow are currently having a modest season by last season standards and are in 18th place in the BSP table with 22 points having played 20, won 5, drawn7 and lost 8. In terms of goals, they have scored 23 and conceded 29 although they have recently sold prolificgoalscorer Jason Walker to league rivals Luton Town. As well as bagging the winner in last seasons 2-1 Trophy triumph against Stevenage, Walker had scored 51 goals in the last two and a half seasons for the Bluebirds.

Former Hereford, Halifax Town and Aldershot Town striker John Grant who left Aldershot in the summer, after scoring forty-seven goals in 127 appearances over four seasons in the Conference and Football League, has joined Barrow last week as Walkers replacement.
