It is with regret that Guiseley AFC announce the departure of winger Joey Spivack.

Owing to protracted difficulties with obtaining a work permit for Joey – and the complicated discussions on employment status taking place between his college in the United States and the UK Border Agency –  it is unfortunate that clearance for him to play at Conference North level cannot currently be obtained for this season.

In view of that, it was deemed the best solution for all parties to allow Joey to play at a lower level of football (where employment status is not an issue) in order to maintain his fitness.

Joey has always given 100% to the club, notably in a game-changing second-half performance against Boston United in the play-off semi-final last year, and we wish him all the best with his future career.
