Hinckley game to be Lions Share Day

To celebrate our season so far and our continuing successful partnership with Guiseley Juniors Football Club, our final league match of the season against Hinckley United  on Saturday, 27th April will be Lions Share Day.

As well as offering plenty of admission offers and deals to thank all our fans for their support so far this season and in the upcoming play-offs, the Juniors will also be staging a number of events before the game and at half-time.

Here’s what you, your friends and your family can get involved in on Lions Share Day.

Wear a Guiseley shirt and get in for free

Simple really, wear any Guiseley shirt, past or present, and receive free admission  to the game.

Can’t say fairer than that can we? Shirts and other merchandise are available from our online shop.

Half price entry for all

Furthermore, we’ll be offering admission of £5 & £3 for adults and concessions respectively to thank our loyal fans as well as the parents of the Junior players. Prices for 12-16-year-olds will be just £2.

Junior lap of honour

The Juniors will do a lap of honour round the pitch at half-time with as many as 500 Junior players in their Guiseley kit showing off the pride in their club.

Guiseley Juniors’ youngest team (the U6’s) will also be involved in a guard of honour before kick-off and there will be small sided games at half time.

Both clubs are very proud of our link and look forward to it continuing next season and beyond.

Bill Graham from the Juniors says: “We have almost 500 local boys and girls playing football from under 6’s to under 21’s in over 40 teams competing in local leagues such as The Keybury League, Harrogate and District and The Garforth Leagues.

“Our coaching set up is second to none and Guiseley Juniors are an FA Charter Club ensuring that all coaches and managers have the relevant safeguarding and coaching training.

“This season our under 12s girls team has already won their division and a number of boys and girls teams are competing for honours in leagues and cups, but with a season hit by the weather many of these trophies won’t be decided until May.

“We look forward to continuing our association with Guiseley AFC next season by providing teams for the Guard of Honour – which the kids and coaches have much enjoyed- and supporting Guiseley AFC hopefully in the Blue Square Bet Premier division next season!

You can contact Guiseley Juniors through their website for any queries or questions.
