2019 is coming to an end and it has been an exciting for the Lions packed full of entertainment.

From securing our Vanarama National League North status on the penultimate day of the 18/19 campaign in a tense 1-0 win over Darlington to a fast paced start to the following season which saw Aaron Martin being Europe’s top goalscorer!

We have had memorable days at Nethermoor including the wins over Spennymoor, King’s Lynn, Hereford, Farsley Celtic and last season’s vital three points over Curzon Ashton through Alex Purver’s late strike.

There’s also been some enjoyable away days for the travelling faithful including two wins at Bradford (Park Avenue) and this week’s late win at York City.

The academy secured successive league titles as well as winning the VAR International Cup, the SR USA Pre-Season Cup and being granted a license to the new Academy Super League where they currently sit 2nd in the table.

Our Community Foundation have run a whole range of events in the local area for young children to the elderly which have been greatly appreciated, find the full list here.
