Guiseley Vixens are delighted to announce the capture of exciting prospect Hannah Poulter from local rivals Leeds Ladies.
Poulter, 17 who can play at full back or on the wing broke through into Leeds Ladies first team last season at the age of just 16, having arrived from the Leeds United Centre of Excellence. Since then she’s gone on to show tremendous potential and even featured in the County Cup final vs Bradford City last season.
She caught the eye in a number of performances forcing the club to monitor her situation closely. We were ecstatic when the highly rated youngster agreed to meet for discussions and eventually put pen to paper.
Manager Glen Preston had his thoughts on the signing:
“Hannah is a great signing for us having been on our radar since last year when we were at Huddersfield Town. Since then we’ve had her watched several times and every game we’ve seen she’s been class and so we we’re over the moon when she agreed to sign.
“Hannah fits the profile of player we are looking for. She has a sweet left foot, is versatile, composed, can dominate one on ones and plays with incredible energy.
“She represents the next stage in the development of our football club which is to try and recruit the best young talent in the region, where we hope to provide them with a platform for success within our first team so they can help provide us with a sustainable future long term”
Poulter had her say about joining the Vixens:
“I’m delighted to join such an ambitious club and I am looking forward to challenging myself at a higher level. I hope I can help the club gain promotion.”
The club as a whole would like to welcome Hannah to the club and we wish you all the best for the title challenge that lays ahead.
