We will travel to Golcar United for a pre-season friendly next month.

The pre-season friendly will take place at their Longfield Avenue home on Saturday 12th July with kick-off at 1pm.

Tickets will be available to purchase at the turnstiles priced at £3 adults and £1 for concessions/U16s.

It is our fifth confirmed friendly so far with Harrogate Town and Leeds United due to visit Nethermoor in July. We will also travel to Bradford (Park Avenue) and Silsden.

Golcar finished third in the Northern Counties East Premier Division last season having missed out on promotion with a play off semi-final defeat to Beverley Town.

Former Huddersfield Town, Hartlepool United, Shrewsbury Town, Bury, Rotherham United, Oxford United and FC Halifax Town defender Joe Skarz was appointed as Golcar’s new manager just over a week ago.

Former Lion Nicky Clee spent the last 18 months of his career playing for Golcar and announced his retirement from football in April.
