Guiseley Community Foundation planned

Guiseley AFC’s Community Arm applies for Charitable Status

In what is considered to be a major step forward and in order to further develop its activities the club’s community arm has applied to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and will, if accepted, be known as the Guiseley Community Foundation. This will give the Foundation access to additional funding opportunities which will allow it to further increase its community activities.

Current activities include the support of young sports leaders from Guiseley School who are running a six a side league on Thursday evenings and the ever popular Free Friday Football, both of which take place on the Nethermoor 3G pitch. Plans are in place for the Annual Six a Side Football tournament in aid of Wesley’s Wish and the Foundation itself to take place on Sunday 21st July.

Summer activities for all age groups are also in the pipeline with the support of the Football Conference Trust, the Premier League and the Professional Footballers Association. Further details will be announced shortly.
