We will host Fleetwood Town U23s at Nethermoor next month in our final pre-season friendly ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Cod Army’s youngsters will make the trip to LS20 on Saturday 2nd August for a 3pm kick-off.
It will be the second time we have hosted Fleetwood’s academy for a friendly as we previously faced each other in 2022. Jake Cassidy netted the only goal in a tight contest.
We also faced Fleetwood’s senior side in the Emirates FA Cup second round at Nethermoor with the Fishermen winning 2-1. That was the first meeting between the two sides in over a decade since Fleetwood’s rise to the EFL.
Ticket details for this friendly will be confirmed ahead of the game.
It is the third home friendly Mark Bower’s side will play before the new season with Harrogate Town and Leeds United the other opponents.
