Guiseley have moved quickly in the close season to begin assembling their squad for the club’s second season in the Blue Square Bet North.

Writing on the Fans’ Forum, manager Steve Kittrick announced that terms have been agreed with Player of the Season Dave Merris and top scorer James Walshaw, along with Danny Boshell, Gavin Rothery and Danny Ellis from the squad that took the club to the playoff final in its first year in the Conference North.  Walshaw has been the subject of ongoing transfer speculation and Guiseley’s fans will be delighted by the news that he has agreed to stay.

Kittrick also announced the signings of Alex and Peter Davidson from North Ferriby United.

The announcement follows news that keeper Steve Drench has also agreed terms for the coming season.

Kittrick added that negotiations with further players would be taking place shortly and that further names would be added to the squad in the near future.
