On an afternoon more suited to cricket these two old rivals served up an entertaining game with the visitors shading it courtesy of two second half goals.
The first coming from Mark Bowers converting a corner at the far post with a thumping header and Joey Spivack getting on the end of Scott Driscoll’s wayward clearance to volley home in spectacular style from twenty yards leaving sub keeper Tom Taylor rooted to the spot.
Ben Jones missed two sitters from six yards out in either half for the home team whilst keeper Tom Morgan also kept his side in the game with a superb save from Lee Ellington’s overhead kick. Ryan Serrant went close for Farsley but the extra touch of class saw the Lions clinch their second pre-season win in four days.
