To mark International Women’s day we are offering free entry to all girls and women for Tuesday’s match against Tranmere.
Tuesday 8th March 2016 is International Women’s Day and our first team will be in action against play-off chasing Tranmere Rovers (7.45pm kick off).
In celebration of, and support for, girls and women’s football generally, Guiseley AFC are offering free admission to this fixture for all girls and women. Simply turn up at either the home or away turnstiles and you will be granted free admission to the match.
Female Guiseley AFC season ticket holders will be offered a free matchday programme – just collect a copy from a home turnstile on admission to the ground.
Guests of honour for this match will be the Guiseley Vixens team and management who will be inside Nethermoor from 7.00pm for photos and a chat about their season so far. Guiseley Vixens were promoted last season as FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division 1 Champions, beating, oddly enough, Tranmere Rovers Ladies 1 – 2 in their final match of the season.
Fixture sheets for the remaining Vixens 2015-16 season games will be available to collect on the night.
Girls Development Squad Coming in 2016
If you’re a young female player, or a parent of one, please take time before the match to record your interest in the Guiseley Community Foundation’s Girls Development Squad.
Aiming to emulate the successes of Dave Currie’s male Youth Academy and team, the Girls Development Squad will initially offer once a week high quality technical and play coaching to support the overall skill and enjoyment of the sport.
Players who join the Development Squad will continue to play for their local junior team.
If you can’t make it to the match this Tuesday but would like to find out more, please register your interest by emailing ben.walker@guiseleyafc.co.uk.
