Following last season acrimonious dialogue over the  League Two club’s commitment to play a friendly at Nethermoor as part of James Hanson’s move to Valley Parade, the two clubs have penciled in the 19 July 2011 (7:45 ko) for a pre-season friendly.

The game will provide an early opportunity for the Lions to gauge their progress ahead of the 2011-12 season and with City likely to have  new manager in place, they will also be keen to get out of the blocks.

The date is still subject to confirmation and details will appear here as soon as these have been agreed.
