Charity tournament held at Nethermoor

Sunday saw the club host their charity six-a-side tournament in association with Guiseley & District Lions in aid of Wesley’s Wish.

Together with a collection at our recent clash with Huddersfield Town, we have now raised nearly £750 and want to thank everyone who participated in or supported the tournament and contributed to the collection.

The tournament was eventually won by Youth Academy manager Dave Currie’s side Cloggers, who beat Bayern Bru 4-1 in the final, with the prizes presented by Wesley’s family.

We would also like to thank Stuart Gray, who refereed all the games, as well as Guiseley & District Lions for their assistance on the day.

The goal of Wesley’s Wish is to raise enough money to pay for a Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy operation for young Wesley which could help enable him to move independently and play normally before joining school.

Further details on on this great cause are available on the Wesley’s Wish website.
