Guiseley AFC Chairman Philip Rogerson completed his coast-to-coast walk in aid of the Prostate Cancer Charity on Sunday.
The walk managed to raise over £2,000 for the charity thanks to internet donations, public donations and also bucket collections at Guiseley’s pre-season matches against Bradford City and Gateshead FC which proved a big help.
The route began at St Bees in Cumbria on the 23rd July and ended in Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire on the 7th August.
“I’m delighted that I’ve managed to achieve what I set out to do. The charity was the main driving force behind wanting to do it but I also really enjoyed it and it felt great to be able to achieve it.
“I’m so thankful to everyone who donated and helped the cause. The balance is very impressive as it stands but we’re still collecting so if anyone else feels that they can help we’d be very grateful.”
