The ladies travelled up to the north east in hope to build on last week’s performance against a strong Chester Le Street
Despite having players out due to family commitments and work, Kelly still took up a strong squad of 13 and changed back to the familiar 4-4-2 formation. Laura Danskin took one for the team and went in goal in the absence of Erin Boswell.
The ladies started brightly testing the Chester le street players and started off with some good attacking play. Rach White in particular saw herself with a good few chances early on but unfortunately none where converted.
Chester Le Street then started to dominate and with some fine saves by Danskin including a one on one, they eventually broke and scored 2 quick goals. Guiseley continued to battle but couldn’t deal with the pace of the Chester le street strikers who bagged another 2 goals.
Half time 4-0 to Chester Le Street
The 2nd half saw some changes with JLS coming off with a groin injury And Rachel white partnering Alarna fuller in central midfield and Amy Parker coming on upfront. Parker and white both immediately made a positive impact, with a great through ball from white for Parker to flick it on into the path of Hulme who just hit the ball over the bar trying to chip the keeper.
Despite Guiseley starting to dominate, Chester Le Street broke again and scored another 2 goals. The last 20minutes of the game saw Abigail barker give way for Rachel Landricombe who brought fresh legs to the team with some bright runs down the right linking well with Fildes.
Full time 6-0 to Chester Le Street
