On Saturday we launch our partnership with Action for Children and will be wearing our away strip that features their logo.
This massive partnership will see us working with the charity and creating Community Action Programmes in what could be a £100k+ project that if successful may be rolled out across other clubs in the Conference.
These programmes will target those youngsters not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) and introduce them to work experience whilst providing wothwhile vocational qualifications that should see them in good stead when seeking future employment. These programmes will involve improvments around the ground and in the wider community.
We are also to be presented with a cheque from the Football Conference Trust for £37,450 which represents the amount that the Trust, with the help of the Premier League and the PFA, has committed to our ever growing community programme over the past two years. We are pleased to be able to welcome guests from Action for Children and the Football Conference Trust along with local councillor Mrs Pat Latty.
