Guiseley Academy warmed up for their National League North Under-19 Alliance clash against table-topping Farsley Celtic tomorrow (Wednesday) with a 6-0 league win against Gateshead, writes Rachel O’Connor.
Fourth-placed Guiseley will kick-off against Farsley at Nethermoor at 2pm.
Farsley top the table with 29 points from 12 games while Guiseley have 20 from ten games having games in hand on all the teams above them, Chester having 22 points from 14 games and Boston United 21 from 13 games.
Guiseley will take heart from their drubbing of Gateshead in a home game played at the Frickley Country Park 3G.
In that game there was a brace from winger Jack Mason and goals from free-scoring full-backs K’Marni Miller and Kyle Burrows, who have all figured with the first team squad this season.
Further goals were added by George Sebine and Oli Storr.
Guiseley have now put ten goals past Gateshead in two games in January.

In the quarter-finals of the Academy Cup Guiseley have been drawn away to York City on February 21st.
