Guiseley AFC are delighted to announce that Pete Gable has agreed to become a shareholder and investor in the club.

As such Pete will also be joining the Board of Directors in the near future, having being approved by the FA’s Owners and Directors Test earlier in the week.

This represents the Board’s commitment to continue to move the club forward with the aim of making the club sustainable and able to grow, both on and off the pitch.

Director and Major Shareholder Chris Chadwick commented: “Pete has been a passionate and committed supporter of the club for a number of years and we are delighted to welcome him aboard.

“We are always looking for other investors who can help us achieve our ambitions but this is by no means any of the existing shareholders diluting their current responsibilities. It is motivated purely on looking at local successful businesses and entrepreneurs to help us take the club forward.”

Fellow Director Mark Lewis said: “I have worked with Pete over a number of years through the Raise the Roof Campaign and I believe that he will add a huge amount of energy to the Board.

“He has a breadth of experience that will be vital in assisting us to take the club forward and he also has extensive contacts in the local community that I am sure will prove to be invaluable.”

Pete Gable added: “I am truly delighted and honoured to be joining the Board of Guiseley AFC. This is a club with a proud history and an important role at the heart of the community. I look forward to contributing my experience, energy and connections to help the club grow sustainably, on and off the pitch, and to ensure we continue building a bright future together

The club and Supporters Club will be holding a Meet The New Directors event in the clubhouse on Wednesday, 8th October, at 7pm with Chris Chadwick and Mark Lewis in attendance. The bar will be open and all are welcome to attend.
