The Lions will be looking to continue their 100% home record on Tuesday night when Blyth Spartans arrive
at Nethermoor for Guiseley’s fourth game of the Blue Square North season.

Ciaran Toner’s injury-time winner saw Guiseley grab a fantastic three points at Solihull Moors on
Saturday, with Toner netting his second goal of the season in the process.
A disappointing loss at Droylsden in midweek could have had a negative impact on the squad,
however this spirited win will have brought the team closer together as they look for promotion
come May.
With two home fixtures against Blyth Spartans and Colwyn Bay, the Lions could really stand
themselves in good stead to reach their targets for the new season.
Opponents Blyth secured their first win of the campaign as they sailed to a 3-1 home victory over
Bishop’s Stortford.
Spartans have been busy at both ends in the opening matches, shipping in six goals but also netting
seven times, showing that they will pose a threat to the Guiseley defence on Tuesday night.
The Northumberland outfit finished in 9th position last season and new Blyth manager Steve Cuggy
will definitely be looking to build on that and challenge for a play-off place in his first season at the
helm.
The sides played out two 0-0 draws last season and showed that on the day nothing could separate
them; hopefully this time around the Guiseley faithful will have a goal, and a win, to celebrate.
