Team News
The extent of Amir Berchil’s injury is currently unclear following coming off with a back injury on Saturday, and he was replaced by Jordan Thewlis in the 46th minute. Also, against Workington, Adam Lund picked up a cut to his eye and had treatment; however, the defender managed to play on.
The Lions saw Kyle White and Jordan Thewlis both feature against Whitby Town and Workington as they both look to increase their fitness and compete for a place in the starting XI.
Additionally, Ian Richards confirmed in his post-match interview on Saturday that Ollie Brown is set to return to the squad following family commitments. However, Frankie Sinfield, Jack Emmett and Will Longbottom are yet to play a minute so far this season.

The Opposition
Bury FC are hoping for back to back promotions following a title-winning campaign in the 25/26 campaign.
Throughout this season so far, the side have managed to earn seven points, picking up a 0-0 draw away at Redcar Athletic, a 3-2 win at home against Curzon Ashton and a 1-0 win at Gigg Lane against Warrington Rylands.
They are managed by Anthony Johnson, who led the side to promotion last campaign. The 43-year-old joined the club in February 2026 following managerial spells at Radcliffe FC, Spennymoor Town, Chester FC, Salford City and Ramsbottom United.
Hoping to perform well this season following promotion last campaign are Mo Touray, who scored ten goals and Djavan Pedro, who scored nine goals last season. The 27-year-old and the 22-year-old have continued this form so far this campaign, with both of them scoring a goal each. Additionally, other influential players include forward Thomas Carr and defender James Neild, who have both managed to impress so far this season.

Previous Meetings
Tuesday will be the first ever competitive meeting between both sides since Bury’s climb back up the non-league ranks.
However, the sides played a pre-season friendly against each other in July 2022, where the Lions picked up a 3-1 victory.
