The Lions enter the FA Trophy at Nethermoor this Saturday hoping to carry on their good form in the final qualifying round of the non league competition, writes Adam Bridson.
With no Premier League or EFL games taking place at 3pm on Saturday in West Yorkshire why not get your football fix at Nethermoor this weekend.

All turnstiles will accept card payment for entry except turnstile 4 which will be cash only, if you are wanting to pay with cash you must use turnstile 4.
Season tickets are not valid for this fixture.
‘The Lions’ magazine will be on sale for £3 from sellers near each turnstile and our Club Shop.
Cash payments are accepted for magazines and 50/50 cash draw tickets, although if wanting to pay by card for the magazine you can do so in the Club Shop with selected 50/50 sellers also accepting card.
Food and drink from The Lions’ Diner and Guiseley Grill can be paid for by cash or card and the clubhouse accepts and prefers payment by card.
Team News
The Lions are likely to be without Aaron Martin who missed Saturday’s trip to Hebburn after limping out of the 4-1 win over Quorn a week earlier.
Ian Richards has been boosted by the recent return of Frankie Sinfield who came off the bench in the Emirates FA Cup win.
Kyle White, Jack Emmett, Jay Rollins and Will Longbottom could all miss the game.
The Opposition
Bamber Bridge have not had the start to the 2026/27 campaign they would have wished for.
They have played 10 league games so far and sit in 18th place with nine points, they’ve also conceded a league high of 27 goals in those matches. They sit bottom of the away league table having only recorded one point on the road in a 2-2 draw at Curzon Ashton.
The Brigg suffered a shock 3-1 home defeat to North West Counties Premier Division side Trafford in the Emirates FA Cup.
Whilst the rest of the league competed in the cup or sat out the weekend Jamie Milligan’s side were beaten 5-1 by Stockton Town in the North East.
Milligan has recently added to the ranks with the acquisition of former Guiseley man Charlie Ennis.
Ennis has spent the last seven years at FC United of Manchester and was their club captain upon his departure from Broadhurst Park.
The Lancastrians could look at Saturday’s tie as a chance to kick start their season with the side recording two wins and three draws so far.
Previous Meetings
The two sides have met in the FA Trophy before, Bamber Bridge recorded a 1-0 win at Nethermoor in this stage of the competition two years ago.
The Lions have recorded two FA Cup wins over their visitors and four league victories in the last six meetings.
Memorable games include a 3-2 success in August 2024 when Leo Farrell, Jameel Ible and Will Longbottom struck to complete a comeback from 2-0 down away from home.
