Previous Meetings

The Toffees brought with them a large number of supporters last season in what was our opening friendly and first game with fans at Nethermoor in over a calendar year following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lewis Dobbin struck a hattrick that afternoon and went on to make his Premier League debut during the 2021/22 season, Tom Cannon netted the other goal in a 4-1 victory for The Blues. Chuk Molokwu netted our only goal.

A Look At Everton U23s

The Toffees start the Premier League 2 campaign under new management with Paul Tait promoted from his previous role with the U18s side.

Following a restructure at Finch Farm Tait has taken up the position as the division becomes an U21 league following a ongoing review of the Premier League Elite Player Performance Plan.

Tait has been with the Goodison Park side for over 12 years and came through the club’s academy before forging a successful career in the game as a striker.

Everton’s squad includes some players with professional experience in Lewis Gibson, Charlie Whitaker, Tyler Onyango and Isaac Price.

A Look At The Lions

The Lions will be looking to get back on the winning track after a narrow midweek defeat to a Barnsley X1 side.

Danny Ellis made his first Lions appearance in seven years against the South Yorkshire side and got a valuable 45 minutes in his legs.

At full-time Ellis and Danny Forrest will conclude their first week of games in the Nethermoor hotseats.

In Summary

The ‘Raise the Roof’ fundraising campaign will continue with donation buckets all around the ground if you would like to give your support.

The new home shirt will once again be on sale in the Club Shop alongside new leisure wear and much more.

Tickets for the game with Everton U23s can be purchased at the turnstiles on the day with cash payment only or online in advance here.
