The long wait is over and the 2022/23 Pitching In Northern Premier League fixtures were announced this afternoon and the new era starts with Marine at home.
The league season kicks off on Saturday 13th August where Danny Ellis and Danny Forrest will begin their Lions managerial reign at Nethermoor against Marine, the season will end on Saturday 22nd April with a trip to Lancaster City’s Giant Axe ground.
Danny Ellis’ side have six fixtures in August with home games against Marine, Whitby Town and Bamber Bridge whilst travelling to Morpeth Town, Nantwich Town and Stalybridge Celtic.
The festive fixtures see The Lions host Atherton Collieries on Boxing Day with a trip to Bamber Bridge’s Sir Tom Finney Stadium for our first game of 2023 on Monday 2nd January.
The other bank holiday games see Danny Ellis and Danny Forrest’s men come up against Bamber Bridge at Nethermoor on the last Monday in August and a trip to Atherton Collieries’ Alder House home on Easter Monday.
Football continues over the World Cup period too with home games against Lancaster City and Morpeth Town and trips to Liversedge, Marine and Whitby Town as the nations compete over in Qatar across November and December.
