The Lions recorded their fourth win in eight days at the Valley Stadium but had to do it the hard way overturning a two goal deficit within the dying seconds of the game. Redditch went ahead after 31 minutes when Geatthers headed home from a long throw and ten minutes into the second period Harris doubled United’s lead courtesy f some slack defending.
The visitors fight back began in the 67th minute with Simon Baldry heading home from cloe range following good work by James Walshaw down the left before the Lions leading scorer was fouled in the area on with three minute remaining and converted the spot kick. The drama comeback as complete when Baldry netted his second, bringing down a good cross from Gavin Rothery before firing home.
With Alfreton losing again and Boston, Eastwood, Solihull and Telford all drawing the only winners today besides the Lions were Nuneaton which leaves the battle for the play-off places as open as ever.
