Some sloppy defending saw Guiseley Academy end up sharing the spoils with their hosts Boston United in their mid-week clash in Lincolnshire.
Jack Mason netted his sixth goal of the season to bag Guiseley’s point in this U19 Alliance North game.
The Young Lions were without leading scorer Brad Wood, who has netted 10 goals so far this season, and K’marni Miller, who has netted five.
Dave Currie’s side of mainly Under-16s has struggled for consistency this season in what is essentially an Under-19 league.
After a 5-2 defeat in their last game at Altrincham, after being 2-0 up, Guiseley bolstered their defence with the inclusion of Oli Reape while Danyaal Khan came off the bench to make a start.
Guiseley now have four wins and a draw from their nine league games having both scored and conceded 22 goals.
Guiseley stand ninth in the 13 team table but will be looking to improve on that with games in hand over most of the teams above them.
Their next scheduled game is at home to York City, a team they defeated 1-0 away from home with a Brad Wood goal. This is due to take place at Nethermoor Park on Wednesday, 8th February, with a 2pm kick-off.
The team against Boston was: Callum Bradbury; Sam Walters, Oli Reape, Tanaka Maumbe, Ricardo Grey, Lewin Storton, Jake Kilbride (Kyle Burrows), Oliwier Grzelak, Danyaal Khan, Miguel Valsau, Jack Mason.
