The Lions’ winning run came to an end at Aggborough on Tuesday with a goalless draw against Worcester City.
After Mark Bower’s men began the game well, the visitors came into it and finished the half stronger, although Steven Leslie and Aaron Williams both seeing efforts go off target.
While Worcester enjoyed the lions’ share of possession after the break as well, both sides had chances, with neither team doing enough to win the game as Danny Hall and Andy Lockwood looked showed plenty of defensive solidity at the back.
Steven Drench was forced into two good clearances from underneath the visitors’ crossbar while Guiseley were limited to efforts from set-pieces as they failed to show the fluidity that had won them five league games in a row.
Substitute Louie Swain threatened with two efforts after replacing Alex Johnson while Gavin Rothery should have done better with his long-range strike.
The draw moves Guiseley up a place to 11th ahead of the FA Trophy clash with FC Halifax Town at The Shay on Saturday.
