Wooden Wonders: Young Entrepreneurs Making a Difference

We are delighted to be welcoming Freddie Middleton and Noel Kirwin to Nethermoor on Saturday where they will be selling their GAFC themed hand-carfted wooden Christmas decorations in the clubhouse, here’s their story.

At Ss Peter and Paul School in Yeadon, entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well, thanks to Year 6 students Freddie Middleton and Noel Kirwin. As part of the young apprentice challenge, these enterprising pupils are raising money for their school and their chosen charity with a heartwarming initiative that deserves your attention.

Their business, Wooden Wonders, is bringing festive cheer to the community with hand-crafted Christmas wooden decorations. With a keen eye for design and a commitment to quality, Freddie and Noel have turned their project into a showcase of young talent and determination.

This dynamic duo is set to sell their creations at the Guiseley AFC game game against Warrington Rylands on Saturday 30th November. It’s a perfect opportunity for fans to show support—not just for the team, but for these two ambitious young fundraisers.

Freddie and Noel’s efforts exemplify the best of community spirit: creativity, collaboration, and a drive to give back. All proceeds from Wooden Wonders will benefit Ss Peter and Paul School and their chosen charity, demonstrating the power of young people to make a meaningful difference.

So, as you cheer on Guiseley AFC, stop by Wooden Wonders and celebrate the hard work of Freddie and Noel. You’ll leave with a decoration—and a little inspiration.
