We can confirm that Lewis Whitham has rejected an improved contract offer to remain with the Lions and has signed for Worksop Town.

Lewis spent two and a half seasons at the club joining in November 2022 for an undisclosed fee from Alfreton Town.

The winger went on to make 45 appearances, scoring eight goals and winning the Players’ Player of the Season award at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Whitham suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee in March 2023, the injury left the popular winger out of action until November 2024.

The former Liversedge man departs with our best wishes for the future.
