Tykes ease to two nil win

Visitors Barnsley eased to a two nil win at Nethermoor this evening courtesy of goals in each half from James Carvell and Kaydon Kackson.

Micheal Rankine had fired over early on and Javan Vidal created an opening for himself shortly after skipping past four defenders but then scuffed his effort.

James Carvell volleyed home Adam Hammills cross at the far post for the opener on 22 minutes and Kayden Kackson doubled the visitors advantage seven minutes into the second period and almost scored a third but was denied by a good save from Guiseley’s trialist keeper.

The Lions next game is away at Hyde on Tuseday 19 July (ko 7:45) before entertaining Leeds United at Nethermoor on Friday 22 July ko 7:45.
