Guiseley had to dig deep as they came from behind to register their third win on the bounce with two late goals from Trialists cancelling out Jamie Spencer’s early goal for the home side.
The hosts got off to a great start as former Lion Spencer volleyed home in the first minute as the Avenue caught Guiseley on the hop.
Much of what followed was meagre fare as both teams struggled to gain any momentum, although the home side had the better of the play with the Lions only effort of note being Donald Chamalilo’s late shot at goal.
Wholesale changes at halftime by the visitors did inject some urgency into proceedings as Trialist B had a header cleared off the line and George Sykes-Kenworthy was quick of his line to deny Jake Cassidy.
However, despite all of this endeavour chances were few and far between until the 77th minute when Trialist C cut in from the right and rifled an unstopable shot into the top corner.
Eight minutes later and Jameel Ible made his way to the byeline before delivering the perfect cross for Trialist B to head beyond the home custodian and seal another win against another National League team following on from the victories against York and Darlington.
