Thank you from Mark and the squad

With the club in the midst of a punishing fixture schedule on the road, Guiseley manager Mark Bower and his staff and players want to thank the club’s fans for their recent support.

Saturday’s Vanarama National League trip to Woking will be our eighth away game in succession, after Tuesday’s FA Trophy replay was postponed, but the Lions have been backed by a committed number of supporters over the past two months.

The run of away matches has included long trips to the likes of Aldershot, Dulwich Hamlet and Dover Athletic and Bower is keen to pay tribute to the backing his players have received.

“The support we’ve had over the past few weeks has been nothing short of superb,” he said.

“I’ve never experienced a quirk in the fixture list like this – to have seven games in a row away from home has been difficult for the players but even more so for the fans, especially at what can be a difficult time of year financially.

“Myself, Bosh and the players are hugely appreciative of the support we get on our trips away and we can’t thank the fans enough. Hopefully we can give them plenty to cheer both home and away during the rest of the season.”

After Saturday’s trip to Woking, the Lions will play their FA Trophy replay at Nethermoor on Tuesday, 16th February.
