Guiseley Community Foundation organised the fourth annual Otley Foodbank Collection ahead of Saturday’s match.
It took place prior to kick-off at our home game against Sutton United and even Sutton supporters brought food for the collection.
Kinnon North, a Trustee of the Community Foundation, said: “Everyone was so generous and there were several hundreds of pounds worth of food donated. There were plenty of staple foods as well as seasonal treats, toileteries, baby items and cash donations amounting to £55.”
“Each year has seen an increase in donations and this year was exceptional. Thank you to Guiseley AFC supporters across the generations, the first team, Academy and Centre of Excellence players and members of the local community who all donated so generously.”
“A special mention to the Sutton supporters who kindly donated too. The Otley Food Bank wish to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity. Their first Christmas parcels will be going out at the end of the week.”
