We can confirm Stocksbridge Park Steels will travel to Nethermoor next month for a pre-season friendly.

The game will be played on Friday 17th July with a 7:30pm kick-off.

The Lions met Stocksbridge twice last season with the home meeting ending 1-1 at Nethermoor as Lebrun Mbeka levelled after former Lion Oliwier Grzelak had given his side the lead in the first minute. Ian Richards then took all three points on his return to Bracken Moor with a 3-1 win, Elliot Owen netted a brace before Archie Christie-Crainie wrapped up the New Year’s Day victory in injury time.

Stocksbridge will return to the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division next season following their relegation at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Last season marked the first time we had clashed with Steels since 2010.
