Another pre-season friendly has been added to our schedule as we prepare for the 2020/21 season with Stockport County visiting Nethermoor Park.

The Vanarama National League side will face The Lions on Tuesday 15th September with kick-off at 7:45pm.

This and the Chesterfield and FC Halifax Town friendlies are scheduled to take place behind closed doors due to COVID-19 restrictions and supporters SHOULD NOT travel to or attempt to spectate the fixture.

Summer signing Dan Cowan could line up against his former side with Ash Palmer and John Rooney making a return to LS20 in the County ranks.

Stockport have played three friendlies so far with defeats to League One sides Rochdale and Fleetwood Town, they have also faced League Two side Salford City and won 1-0 at Edgeley Park.

It is the second successive season Jim Gannon’s men have made the trip to Nethermoor for a pre-season friendly with the fixture ending in a 2-2 draw last time out, Scott Garner and Gabriel Johnson were on the scoresheet.
