After three away games on the spin, Guiseley continue their push for a play-off place when they host Stalybridge Celtic at Nethermoor in the Vanarama Conference North this Easter Monday.
The Lions got back on track at the weekend with a 3-1 victory over Colwyn Bay, having been edged out by a goal to nil against play-off rivals Chorley in midweek.
With Garry Flitcroft’s side facing table toppers Barrow and fellow play-off hopefuls Boston United and Tamworth meeting at York Street, Monday could prove a critical afternoon in the race for the top five.
Despite boasting a strong recent record against Celtic, including a 3-1 victory at Bower Fold earlier this season, Mark Bower will be wary of a Stalybridge side that picked up an important three points in their bid for survival as they beat Harrogate Town on Saturday.
Having recently appointed Liam Watson as Keith Briggs’ replacement, Celtic are unbeaten in their last three games and could move out of the relegation zone with victory at Nethermoor.
Former Lions midfielder Paul Ennis will probably prove a key threat, having scored ten goals so far this season, while Bower can welcome back Liam Dickinson against his former club as well as centre-back Danny Ellis.
Finally, please note that Supporters’ Player of the Season voting slips will be available around Nethermoor at Monday’s game.
