Sean St Ledger is looking for his Guiseley side to return to winning ways after successive defeats on the road to Sutton and Bromley with an enforced two week break in between because of the poor weather conditions.
The Shaymen have seen a recent upturn in form following the appointment of Jamie Fullarton as manager a few weeks ago.
Their last defeat came at home to Ebbsfleet on 17th February with three wins and a draw since then.
They include on loan Lion Mike Fondop in their ranks with the big striker scoring his first goal in Tuesday night’s 2-1 comeback win over Dagenham and Redbridge but he will be ineligible to play this weekend.
Looking back at the Bromley game St Ledger said “When you get the goal back and have ten men you probably have to be a bit more resilient, I changed the formation to have five at the back and two attackers.”
“I think what we have to do is look at the positives and the performance, I thought it was fantastic, we lost our shape when we went down to ten men but I think we have created more opportunities today than in the whole time that I have been here.”
Commenting on the opposition the former Republic of Ireland international said “Bromley are an excellent side, they will probably go in the playoffs and are favourites for the Buildbase FA Trophy.”
He was also quick to praise his own players who put on an excellent display “The lads work rate was fantastic, in training all week they have been brilliant and I have nothing but credit to give to the lads who can walk away from this game with their chins held high.”
“I think the fans appreciated the performance even though we lost, everyone worked their socks off.”
Sean was however focused on the current predicament “At the moment we are in a position where we need results, we just have to carry on.”
Ahead of Saturday’s fixture St Ledger said “I think they are all huge games at the moment, I am and the players are enjoying the challenge.”
“It is obviously a big game, we will go into it again fully focused and hopefully replicate Saturday’s performance.”
Ticket upgrades to a Club Classic package are available until 12pm Friday.
